Where we process personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, including the rights and legal bases described below.

Information you give us

  • Enquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and the details of your message.
  • Call bookings: when you book a discovery call through our booking tool (currently Calendly), your name, email address, any answers you give to booking questions and the meeting time.
  • Direct communication: information you share when you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, including the content of those conversations.
  • Client engagements: business contact details, billing information and any information you provide so we can deliver our services.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, we and our technology partners may collect information about your device and how you use the Website, including your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages visited, the website that referred you, the time and length of your visit, and actions you take, such as clicking a button or link. Much of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described in section 6.

If you are on our email list, we also collect information about how you interact with our emails, such as whether you open them and which links you click, and, where you have consented, which pages of the Website you visit after being identified as a subscriber.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from advertising and social media platforms, such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn. This usually includes reports on how our adverts perform and, where you submit a lead form on one of those platforms, the details you choose to share with us.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, such as health information or religious beliefs. Please do not include it in your messages to us.

4. How and why we use your personal data

We use personal data for the purposes below. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis for each purpose is shown in brackets.

  • To provide our services and manage our client relationships, including invoicing and project communication (performance of a contract).
  • To send marketing emails and updates about our services, insights and events (your consent, or our legitimate interest in contacting business contacts where the law allows). You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To personalise follow-up emails based on the Website pages subscribers visit, using marketing automation (your consent).
  • To measure and improve the Website through analytics (your consent where required by law).
  • To run and measure advertising, including showing relevant adverts to people who have visited the Website (your consent where required by law).
  • To keep the Website and our systems secure and prevent misuse (our legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations and to establish or defend legal claims (legal obligation and legitimate interests).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Marketing communications

If you contact us, book a call or become a client, we may send you emails about our services, marketing insights and relevant updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@siladigital.me. Unsubscribing will not affect messages we need to send about an active enquiry or engagement.

7. Who we share personal data with

We share personal data only where needed for the purposes in this policy, with:

  • Service providers who support our business, including website hosting and maintenance, email and communication services (including Brevo for email marketing and marketing automation), our booking tool, analytics and advertising platforms (Google, Meta and LinkedIn), and WhatsApp. These providers may only use your data to provide their services to us or as described in their own privacy policies.

Some of our service providers store or process data outside the UAE, for example in the United States or the European Union. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the relevant data protection authority, such as the UAE Data Office or, if you are in the EEA or UK, your local supervisory authority.

11. How we protect personal data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure hosting, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a security incident occurs.
